Meet the Team

Jim Donovan, BMath, ASA
President

Jim graduated from the Actuarial Science program at the University of Waterloo in 1985, and became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in 1988. Jim has over 20 years experience in the software, benefits consulting, insurance, and real estate industries.

Upon graduation, Jim worked as an actuarial student at Crown Life Insurance Company where he became the company expert on Lotus 1-2-3 and APL programming. Jim left Crown Life to join QW Page Associates where he was the Customer Support Manager overseeing a large team of technical support staff.

Jim's background in support systems served him well as he and a partner founded HelpSTAR.com in 1992. For the next eleven years, Jim was involved in all aspects of growing HelpSTAR from a basement startup to a multi-million dollar leader in the help desk software industry.

In 2003, Jim sold his interest in HelpSTAR and formed the visionary software company We Think Solutions where he serves as the President overseeing all operations.

Jim grew up in the Owen Sound area and now resides in Orangeville with his wife Sandra and their three children. Jim enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family.

Scott Sinclair, BMath/Computer Science
VP Technology

Scott graduated from the University of Waterloo co-op program in 1984. Since then, Scott has held increasingly responsible positions as both an employee and as an independent consultant at such firms as Sun Life, Software AG, Sony Europe and Vale Inco.

Scott's experience includes over 11 years as Manager of Product Development at Software AG. During his tenure at Software AG, Scott was the lead developer and architect for Natural Construct, a highly successful application development environment based on dictionary-driven, automated, code generation. Scott's sustained contribution to the success of Software AG was recognized in 1999 when he was selected as the inaugural recipient of the company's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Scott joined We Think Solutions early in 2004 to investigate new technology and align the company with high-growth opportunities.

Scott hails from Chatham, Ontario and now lives in Kitchener with his wife Jennifer and their three children. When he is not working, Scott and his family take time to enjoy the rugged beauty of Northern Ontario, hiking and canoeing along the Canadian Shield.

Aaron Manuel, BS Architecture
Visual Designer

Aaron has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and has been designing websites for over ten years. He has extensive experience in strategic communication and understands how to align brand strategy to integrate online and print marketing campaigns. In his role, Aaron often leads the design and analysis of strategic marketing to support the creation and implementation of campaigns and establish clear market positioning.

Joseph Evans, BS Computer Engineering
Web Developer

Joseph has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and has been developing complex web applications for over ten years. Joseph also has experience in the Operations and Customer Service areas for several web-based businesses. Joseph is skilled in a wide range of technologies including PHP, C# .Net, Javascript, HTML and SQL and other back-office technologies.
